Fitter Luis Atzwanger founds the crafts enterprise ATZWANGER in Bolzano: The unsurpassed quality of the firm’s
heating and sanitation systems makes ATZWANGER the talk of the town.
The company is dissolved in the chaos of war, after which it resumes operations in the centre of the province capital.
Peter und Paul, the sons of Luis Atzwanger, take over the family business and immediately set out to provide innovative
solutions. The company’s specialized divisions are established, and the scope of ATZWANGER’s activities extends
outside of regional borders. 
ATZWANGER opens a branch in Merano.
The family business is publicly incorporated. The same year, the firm expands its range of services, adding
a Water Department. 
The company production and storage facility in Bronzolo (near Bolzano) is opened.
The company expands its services to include energy management. The same year, ATZWANGER Plant Construction
is established in Innsbruck, the company’s first foreign branch. A few months later, the company establishes its first
Munich address.
The Innsbruck branch relocates to Salzburg.
The Environmental Engineering Department is established, providing service to this increasingly important sector.
A new Munich branch, in Riem, is opened in September.

Formation of the Atzwanger (Suisse) AG in Baar (CH)
Merging of the subsidiary company Ecomaster Atzwanger Srl in the Atzwanger SpA.

Today, ATZWANGER ranks among Europe's market leaders in environmental, water, energy and construction engineering.
The group maintains three active and successful European locations, and with an overall staff of 250 employees, it continues to grow!
